Netflixhas made it an easy option to stay in and avoid the cold recently, thanks to the super-creepy likes ofYou,Bird BoxandConversations with a Killer: The Ted Bundy Tapes.

But if your jangled nerves have had about all they can take of intense psychological drama, supernatural horror and serial killers, then you might be pleased to know the streaming giant is now giving us all a chance to relive our childhoods withclaymationheroes Wallace and Gromit.

From today you can enjoy all four of the duo’s shortfilmsA Grand Day Out, The Wrong Trousers, A Close ShaveandA Matter of Loaf and Death. Perfect little line-up if you’re currently snowed in (or pretending you are to avoid work).

Fans werepretty chuffedwith the good news, which was shared by Netflix’s official Twitter account today, with one writing: “Cracking additions, Gromit.”

While another posted: “Wallace and Gromit – aw,youlegends!”

A third added: “Thank you for bringing back my childhood with the original episodes of Wallace and Gromit. Amazing!” I couldn’t agree more, pal.

Believe it or not,A Grand Day Outwas initially released three decades ago in 1989 – feel old yet? But give it a re-watch and you’ll see it’s as good as ever. Of course, you don’t have to take my word for it. Three of the four films –A Grand Day Out, The Wrong TrousersandA Close Shaveall have flawless 100 percent ratings on Rotten Tomatoes. High praise indeed.

If that’s not quite impressive enough for you, the three films also won a BAFTA each and, on top of that,The Wrong TrousersandA Close Shaveboth scooped Oscars. Not bad, eh?

The series, created by Nick Park of Aardman Animations, also spawned a feature-length movie starring the pair, titledWallace & Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit,in 2005 and went on to win an Oscar.

As well as being an amazing set of films, Wallace and Gromit also raise cash for charities through Wallace & Gromit’s Children’s Foundation, which goes towards children hospitals and hospices, and Wallace and Gromit’s Grand Appeal, which raises funds for Bristol Children’s Hospital Charity.

Peter Sallis, who voiced Wallace, even lent hisvoice to the lift announcements in the hospitalbefore he retired in 2010.

Sadly, Peter passed away in 2017 aged 96, but thanks to his fantastic charity work and acting credits, he won’t be forgotten.
