The fight began with Dubois much in control, utilising his jab well and troubling his opponent from the off.

While Gorman looked flashy with occasional counter shots in the second, it was clear that the younger man had the edge as he put together more forceful shots with regularity.

Breakthrough came in the third round as Dubois found a home for consecutive straight rights and put Gorman down for the first time in his career.

The 23-year-old rose to his feet and fought back valiantly despite a troubling cut, though he was ultimately overwhelmed.

By the end of the fifth the contest was finished as, once again, Dubois landed the right hand and Gorman hit the deck.

Although he rose to his feet and attempted to continue, he was fairly counted out by the referee and had no complaints post-fight.

Despite having a grudge in the build-up, Daniel and Nathan shook hands and shared a post fight interview – their rivalry seemingly settled by the knockout.

Earlier in the night on the undercard, Joe Joyce beat Bryant Jennings by decision and Liam Williams knocked out Karim Achour.
