  1. Post update

    New Zealand 6-2 GB Lions

The Lions looking to up the tempo, but Jackson Hastings is running sideways rather than forward.

    Not making much ground.

But the visitors do get a penalty to apply some pressure.

    Quarter of the game gone.

  2. Post update

    New Zealand 6-2 GB Lions

    Brian Noble

Ex-Great Britain coach on BBC Two

Both teams are showing the ambition to throw the ball around.

  3. Post update

    New Zealand 6-2 GB Lions

On this set, Jackson Hastings does manage to get a kick away but Roger Tuivasa-Sheck never looked like dropping that.

He was like Stephen Fleming in the slips, safe hands.

  4. Post update

    New Zealand 6-2 GB Lions

This is the third game and the Lions have not been ahead on the scoreboard at any time on this tour.

Playing catch-up has not worked in the first two games, they have to do it once more.

  5. Post update

    New Zealand 6-2 GB Lions

Aggressive set from the Lions, but once more there is no kick on the last tackle.

Jack Connor’s pass is ruled forward and a promising move fizzles out.

    Very disappointing.

  6. Post update

    New Zealand 6-2 GB Lions

The GB Lions fall behind once more.

    Work to do.

  7. Post update

    New Zealand 6-2 GB Lions

    Justin Morgan

Former New Zealand assistant coach on BBC Two

Very interesting from the Kiwis to attack from the middle part of the field. That’s the easiest way to get to the edges.

  8. try

TRY – New Zealand 6-2 GB Lions

    Joseph Manu

New Zealand have the first try of the game.

Joseph Manu is the man who controls the ball well from Shaun Johnson’s short pass and plonks the ball down despite the best efforts of Elliott Whitehead and Jackson Hastings to stop him.

Jamayne Isaako curls the kick wide of the far stick.

  9. Post update

    New Zealand 2-2 GB Lions

Jared Waerea-Hargreaves is a real beast, how do you stop a man mountain like that?

And now Joseph Manu looks to have touched down, is he in?

  10. Post update

    New Zealand 2-2 GB Lions

Better, much better from Blake Austin, taking Shaun Johnson’s high bomb.

Oh no, the Warrington man spins and is then dragged out of play by Jamayne Isaako.

The home side have head-and-feed 10 metres out.

  11. Post update

    New Zealand 2-2 GB Lions

Skipper James Graham pumping those legs and driving the Lions forward.

Gareth Widdop’s kick is OK towards Jamayne Isaako on the right wing, but the New Zealand player collects comfortably.

  12. PENALTY – New Zealand 2-2 GB Lions

    Gareth Widdop

No problems for Gareth Widdop from inside the 10 metre line, knocking it over to level up.

  13. Post update

    New Zealand 2-0 GB Lions

Tit-for-tat. The Lions get a penalty and are going to level the scores up with a kick.

    Play on, no??

  14. Post update

    New Zealand 2-0 GB Lions

    Oh hello.

Great hit from Elliott Whitehead on Briton Nikora, dislodging the ball and the Lions have the ball in hand for the first time.

They HAVE to make opportunities like this count.

  15. comments

Ben Joy: Come on Great Britain, been very disappointing in the first two games, need to be much better this week. Just not playing a boring style would be nice. Let’s see how we go. Bennett picked an awful spread of players for the squad, players out of position at international level they’ve got so much wrong with this Lions setup, hopefully the lads can do something and get a win, salvage it a bit.

Griff: Right, come on then! Fair to say a win is much needed for Great Britain today. If not, who knows how long it will be before we see a GB team again after this tour?

Barry: I defend Bennett most times due to his past record but having Austin on the wing, not taking more than two wingers on a tour is beyond a joke. Making a farce of this tour.

  16. PENALTY – New Zealand 2-0 GB Lions

    Jamayne Isaako

A gimme for Jamayne Isaako, popping the two points over without any problems and New Zealand take an early lead.

  17. Post update

    New Zealand 0-0 GB Lions

    This is surprising.

The hosts are opting for the easy kick instead of applying the pressure for a try.

  18. Post update

    New Zealand 0-0 GB Lions

NZ are 10 metres out and get a repeat set for holding on.

Ref Gerard Sutton taking no nonsense.

  19. Post update

    New Zealand 0-0 GB Lions

    Brian Noble

Ex-Great Britain coach on BBC Two

Blake Austin should get used to that (more high kicks). They’re going to try him out and test him positionally.

  20. Post update

    New Zealand 0-0 GB Lions

    Oh deary me.

Blake Austin’s first act is to drop an absolute sitter deep in his own half from Shaun Johnson’s kick.

It was a dolly, has Austin dropped the tour for GB?
