  1. Post update

    Preston 0-0 West Brom

West Brom have just regained control of the game.

Looking threatening down the left and now with Charlie Austin to utilise up front.

But Daniel Johnson wins a free-kick for the hosts in the centre circle.

  2. Post update

    Preston 0-0 West Brom

Only one of West Brom’s last 82 league games has finished goalless.

Time ticking away to continue that run here.

  3. SUBSTITUTION

    Preston 0-0 West Brom

    Second change for West Brom.

    Charlie Austin replacing Grady Diangana.

Two men up top now for the Baggies.

  4. Post update

    Preston 0-0 West Brom

    Kyle Edwards.

Kyle Edwards has been busy since coming on for West Brom.

He charges up the left, pulls a ball back that’s clipped to the far post.

Safely headed away for Preston though.

    Baggies pressing again.

  5. Post update

    Preston 0-0 West Brom

Some concern for Preston’s Ben Pearson as he lies prone after falling awkwardly.

He’s gingerly back to his feet.

Another injury is the last thing Alex Neil needs.

  6. Post update

    Preston 0-0 West Brom

Preston’s Sean Maguire chases a loose ball into the area and goes down under somewhat of a tangle.

But the appeals for a penalty are only from the Preston fans.

  7. Post update

    Preston 0-0 West Brom

The most concerted defensive effort that West Brom have been asked for in these last 10 minutes.

But a strong run from Baggies’ Kyle Edwards and he wins a free-kick on the wide left.

Just allows a minute of possession for the visitors but eventually a poor cross ends the move.

  8. Post update

    Preston 0-0 West Brom

Preston, remember, have the best home record in the Championship, unbeaten at Deepdale.

This spirited second-half response shows why.

  9. CHANCE

    Preston 0-0 West Brom

The Baggies fail to clear their lines from a corner and the ball rolls out to the edge of the area.

Fierce drive from Preston’s Alan Browne and it’s well blocked by Nathan Ferguson.

  10. GREAT SAVE!

    Preston 0-0 West Brom

Sean Maguire does really well to find space for Preston and he feeds Daniel Johnson on the edge of the area.

He produces a left-foot curling effort and it’s a really good save diving to his right from Sam Johnstone for West Brom.

  11. SUBSTITUTION

    Preston 0-0 West Brom

First corner of the night for Preston.

And oh what a waste – thumped over the danger area.

First change now of the night, and it’s a West Brom switch.

Matt Phillips being replaced by Kyle Edwards – a straight swap out wide.

  12. Post update

    Preston 0-0 West Brom

West Midlands accents are ringing around Deepdale, Baggies fans hoping to see their side climb back to the top of the Championship.

They still look the most likely but Preston are having a much bigger say in the game in this second half than they did in the first.

  13. Post update

    Preston 0-0 West Brom

Free kick to West Brom, Daniel Johnson ruled to have caught Matheus Pereira just after the ball had gone.

The tackle looked fair to me.

Albion’s set-piece goes to the far post and is headed back but only into the arms of Preston keeper Declan Rudd.

  14. Post update

    Preston 0-0 West Brom

The game is a little open all of a sudden and Preston come forward down the right.

Tom Barkhuizen with a chance to cross, he curls in a low delivery but it evades everyone.

  15. Post update

    Preston 0-0 West Brom

Another Preston free-kick, wide out on the left 40 yards from goal.

It’s floated to the top of the area and headed away, then hacked upfield.

And then Preston defender Joe Rafferty massively over-hits his backpass and concedes a corner to West Brom.

  16. Post update

    Preston 0-0 West Brom

Preston try to work themselves an angle from the free-kick but West Brom are out very quickly to make the block.

  17. YELLOW CARD: Semi Ajayi

    Preston 0-0 West Brom

Up the other end and now a foul is given 25 yards from goal, very central.

It’s a booking for West Brom’s Semi Ajayi.

  18. Post update

    Preston 0-0 West Brom

Baggies’ Matheus Pereira with a one-two on the edge of the area and he feels he’s bodychecked.

Surely it was a foul by Paul Huntington, who changed his line to block Pereira, but the referee waves play on.

  19. Post update

    Preston 0-0 West Brom

Straight away a moment for West Brom.

Grady Diangana with a low cross from the left but Hal Robson-Kanu was on his heels and the ball flashes across the Preston goal.

  20. KICK-OFF

    Preston 0-0 West Brom

    Second half underway.

The Baggies now playing towards their own fans.
