When Kanye West married Kim Kardashian, he knew she was a busy woman. She was already an entrepreneur, television personality and socialite. Now Kim Kardashian West is going to law school and working on The Justice Project. That takes even more time away from her family, but Kardashian West knows how to fit everything.

Kardashian West was on a Television Critics Association panel for her Oxygen show The Justice Project on Jan. 18. The show will portray her legal efforts to overturn harsh sentences for four inmates. After the panel, she spoke with reporters further about how she’s still making time for Kanye West and her kids. The Justice Project premieres on Oxygen Sunday, April 5 at 7 p.m.

Here’s when Kanye West and the kids can see Kim Kardashian West

Kim Kardashian West ran down her schedule.

“My kids know I’m in school, and so I have to film my show,” she said. “I get up at 5:40. My day is so micromanaged from 5:40 to workout at 6:00. At 7:05 I wake the kids up. We have breakfast at 7:40, out the door by 8:00. It’s very micromanaged.”

Kim and Kanye West still have date nights

Weekdays look pretty solidly booked from mornings through law school hours through prison visits and filming. Somehow, Kim Kardashian West say she still makes time for dates with Kanye West.

“We definitely have our date nights,” she said. “We have our vacation time. I definitely take that time off, so if I know when I really need that time, and obviously my kids and my husband are my life, so I just honestly had to cut out a lot of all the extra stuff that I was doing.”

These people don’t get to see Kim Kardashian West anymore

So Kim Kardashian West can make time for Kanye West and her kids, but she’s still only human. Some people had to slip through the cracks, but they understand.

“Obviously I’m best friends with all my friends I’ve been friends with forever, but they understand,” she said. “They know I just don’t go to all these events anymore, the movies. I don’t do that extra stuff, and that’s okay for me. I need to focus. I do my mornings with my kids, and they go to school, and then I’m there for dinner.”

When Kim Kardashian West has time for herself

Kim Kardashian West scheduled herself to the minute to make sure she attends to her husband, her kids, and her work. Sometimes she struggles to give herself the time she needs.

“Simple self-care things,” she said. “A massage, I used to do at a specific time, and now I just don’t do it, but if I needed to it would be probably 10:00 PM, 11:00 PM [when] everyone is asleep. My schedule has really changed.”

Kim and Kanye West are setting a good example for their kids

Both Kim and Kanye West may be slammed, but they know they’re showing their children good role models.

“I think that it also shows my kids how motivated I am. Every time I have a prison visit, I explain to them why I’m going and what I’m doing, and they understand. I love talking about it with everyone around me when there’s a case going on. I mean even our group chats about different cases that go on, my conversations are different. I literally had to change my number and just say, ‘I got to focus for four years. All my friends, guys, I’ll be back in four years. Let me just really focus.’ But I’ve found just my interests have changed. Everything has really just shifted, and it’s been a fun journey.”
