GP nurse Ms Leenah was forced to leave her local Tesco empty handed yesterday, as panic buyers flocked to the store ignoring the new allotted shopping time for NHS staff and the elderly.

The NHS worker from Tottenham, London says shoppers “lied” about working for the NHS or shouted “I’m hungry too” when she tried to gain access to the store.

As the clip begins, Ms Leenah is heard saying: “I’m here at Tesco, Tottenham, High Road.

“It’s 10 o’clock in the morning. One hour before it opens and a bunch of selfish people are not allowing NHS workers to go through lying that they work for the NHS.

A large queue of people can be seen congregating around the door.

She continues: “Now they’ve caused all this hassle that the Tesco workers can’t allow anyone in because the people are so selfish.

“The people that have waited all week to buy some damn food can’t even do that.”

Ms Leenah normally works as a GP nurse for 40 hours of the week but did extra 20 hours at the hospital to help out with the rising demand.

Currently walking back home to wipe my a** with napkins for another week, thanks a lot.

She shared the “disgusting” experience on Twitter yesterday with the caption: “I’ve never been so repulsed in my life.

“NHS staff that have worked 60+ hr weeks pleading with people to get in line so they can shop first and selfish individuals shouting, ‘well I’m hungry too’.

“Currently walking back home to wipe my a** with napkins for another week, thanks a lot.

“It’s crazy because I’m literally working 60 hrs this week, Monday to Sunday, NHS. Today (Sun) was the only day I could get some food/toiletries for the week.

“My mum’s also working 50 hours this week. We’re helping families and friends of the same people who couldn’t step back for one minute.

“My shopping list was potatoes, prawns, toilet paper, hand wash and toilet paper, not even stockpiling just everyday necessities.

“We haven’t had toilet paper in this house for a week.”

Yesterday similar scenes were seen as Brits descended on the supermarkets for  Mother’s Day.

Stores across the country saw chaotic scenes as “selfish” shoppers ignored government advice and supermarket’s golden hour rules to strip shelves bare of essentials, leaving the needy, vulnerable and key workers without.

Panic buyers crammed together, despite being urged to exercise social distancing amid the coronavirus crisis as queues of 1,000 people formed at a Dudley Tesco store.

Shockingly, the queues snaked round the block at a time set aside so NHS staff could shop.
