Biden news – live: Former VP declares ‘no trust’ for Trump on vaccine, as president disputes CDC director

With less than seven weeks until election day, Joe Biden set-out his vision for distributing a potential coronavirus vaccine on Wednesday as he continued to condemn Donald Trump’s pandemic response.

Speaking from Wilmington, Delaware, the Democratic presidential nominee declared: “I trust vaccines. I trust scientists. But I don’t trust Donald Trump”. 

That come as the US president denounced Robert Redfield, the Centres for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) director, for suggesting a vaccine was possible in late 2021, after the president told White House reporters on Wednesday that it could come as soon as October.
