Bolton Wanderers ran out 2-1 winners in their opening Championship game against West Bromwich Albion, but the major talking-point wasn’t the match.

No, the matters on the pitch were put aside for this game, for this reason.

A boiler appeared on the pitch as a mascot and people just can’t get enough of it. The mascot has gone down a storm on social media.

We hope that we will see more of the boiler in games to come.

Bolton were on the brink last season. They had a lot of issues regarding their ownership and it hindered their new last campaign.

They were pegged to be dead certains for relegation but they managed to pull off a win on the final game and ended up staying up for another season in the Championship.

Bolton will be hopeful of continuing the brilliance of last season with a season in the second tier without worrying about relegation. It could the side 11 games to reach two points last season but this season they already have earned three points with this superb opening game win over WBA.

Where do you think Bolton will finish in the league next season? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section.
