Eden Hazard Reveals The Brilliant Conversation He Had With N'Golo Kante On The Bench

Eden Hazard dedicated his superb solo strike against Liverpool to N’Golo Kante who didn’t want to take a penalty.

Maurizio Sarri named both Hazard and Kante on the bench for Chelsea’s Carabao Cup third-round tie against Liverpool on Wednesday night.

But the Italian boss eventually drafted the pair on with his side looking for a goal.

And his substitution was vindicated when Hazard produced a moment of brilliance. He netted a stunning goal to knock Liverpool out of the competition whilst securing his team a spot in the next round.

Hazard’s heroics was the talk of the game and after scoring a 85th minute winner, he gave a brilliant post-match interview where he revealed his conversation with Kante when they were on the bench.

The reporter asked the Belgium superstar: “Talk us through that goal, Eden?”

Hazard brilliantly replied: “Kante told me he doesn’t want to take a penalty so I had to score.”

Class.

Needless to say, Hazard and Kante’s hilarious conversation sent social media into overdrive:

Kante, what a bloke.

As for Hazard, the best player in the Premier League?
