Britain’s Got Talentviewers think they know who the masked magician is who appeared on Saturday’s show.

The performance wowed fans, as the magician stayed silent, refusing to have any of the standard pre-audition chat with Simon Cowell and instead launching straight into the tricks.

But viewers have a theory about who the magician could be, with many people believing that it is in fact Elizabeth, from last week’s show.

Taking to Twitter to get to the bottom of it, fans posted their theories online.

One person said: “Would be a great twist if the Masked Magician was a woman,” while another added: “Reckon it’s the same woman that freaked out Amanda last week.”

One user posted: “Have a feeling it is linked to the lady under the stage last week,” with a friend replying: I thought that too…she said last week ‘the night isn’t over’. It isn’t necessarily the same woman but I think they are part of a group and expect something else next week.”

Whoever he or she is, the magician stunned audiences, especially when they did a special trick with Ant and Dec.

One of the mystery performer’s stunts was to prove that the formidable duo are, in fact, cosmically linked.

Ant has had a bit of a rough time over the past couple of years, but has returned to his rightful place beside Dec onBGTandI’m A Celeb.

When the masked figure ‘proved’ they are telepathically linked, viewers were moved by the whole thing.

One Twitter user said: “Anyone else cry at the masked magician..seeing the connection between Ant & Dec.”

With another adding: “What have we just witnessed that was incredible how did he do that it shows @antanddec have a great connection and bond, glad they are back together.”

Obviously, this is Twitter, and not everybody was having it. One cynical guy wrote: “Lovely sentiment but absolutely staged and pre-planned. Sorry guys, not buying it.”

But sticking up for the magician, someone posted: “To cynics who this this is trick, show me a magic act which isn’t. Can’t believe some people who just cannot take such acts as what it is! And calling this as PR stunt and drama and all are just so mean. Grow up pls. There is something called entertainment out there.”
