An American woman told that she would never be able to conceive has given birth to an enormous baby girl, weighing 15 pounds.

In baby terms, that’sveryheavy. She may well decide never to have kid again after that ordeal.

Joi Buckley’s new born daughter Harper weighs as much as a baby six months older than her and also had a full head of hair when she came into the world. she came into the world on Monday.

To be exact, she was 15lbs 5oz and measured in at 23 and a quarter inches in length. Harper is actually the biggest baby ever to be born at the Arnot Ogden Medical Center in New York.

Speaking to local TV station WETM, proud mum Joi said: “I knew she was going to be big, but I didn’t anticipate no 15-pound baby.”

Harper is still under observation for her sugar and oxygen levels in the hospital’s Neonatal Intensive Care unit. Joi spoke about how she was told that it would be difficult for her to conceive and said that she felt ‘some resentment’ towards her friends, some of whom were having as many as six kids.

Joi confided that she began to think to herself: “Why are they getting pregnant again?”

Despite that, and in contradiction of the doctors, she learned two years ago that she was pregnant with her son – who weighed in at 11 pounds – much to her and her husband’s surprise.

Joi and her husband also have a daughter whom they adopted seven years ago after they were told of the difficulty they would have in conceiving naturally.

Now, Joi hopes that her story can offer hope to other women who have been told that their chances of conceiving are slim.

She urged other prospective parents not to give up on their dreams of parenthood. Joi continued: “The thing I’ve always wanted to do is be a mum and finding out for the first time I was overjoyed.

“Don’t give up, cause it’s right there. It’s definitely right there ’cause my kids are total proof of that.”

The heaviest baby ever born – according to Guinness World Records – was delivered by mother Carmelina Fedele in Italy in 1955.

The child, born in the town of Aversa, weighed in at 10.2kg. That’s nearly 22 and a half pounds.

Bloody hell, that’s a massive kid.
