Luka Modric Set To Tell Real Madrid President He Wants To Leave

Luka Modric is expected to have a meeting with Real Madrid president Florentino Perez and tell him that he wants to leave the side.

Real Madrid are going through a transitional phrase. Cristiano Ronaldo moved to Juventus for £100 million and their Champions-League winning manager, Zinedine Zidane, unexpectedly left the side this summer.

A report from gianluca di marzio says that he will have showdown talks with Perez;.

The article goes on to say that Modric will speak to the president without his agent and essentially tell him and that he wants to move on to another club.

It’s possible that Perez could yet change the midfielder’s mind but that remains to be seen.

Modric helped Croatia at this summer’s World Cup. They side did brilliantly and topped their 1998 finish of third-spot to finish in the final. They lost 4-2 in the final to a ruthless France side but had the upper-hand for a majority of the first half.

As for Real, they would be losing one of their best players. They have already lost two of their biggest assets, the big question will be whether they can manage to cope without another one.

Inter Milan, the team who are keen on bringing Modric in, will be hopeful that the talks go their way.

Where do you think Modric will be next season? Let us know in the comments section.
