Luka Modric Will Be The Centrepiece Of This Transfer Merry-Go-Round

Agent Jorge Mendes can be the mastermind behind this triple swap deal.

Mendes is the agent behind the sensational move of Cristiano Ronaldo this summer, the Portuguese moving from Real Madrid to Juventus for a reported fee of £100 miillion.

And now, according to Sport Mediaset, he’s about to broke a huge deal involving Real Madrid, Inter Milan, AS Roma and Lazio, in what would be a transfer merry-go-round. The starting point of the deal would be Modric to Internazionale. This means that Real will look to Milinkovic-Savic of Lazio as a replacement.

The addition of Modric would leave João Mário surplus to requirements at Inter Milan – the midfielder would then make the move to AS Roma, sealing what would be some huge movement on the transfer front.

Modric has been the subject of much speculation this summer window. Real Madrid are having to deal with the unexpected departures of manager Zinedine Zidane and Ronaldo.

He was set with showdown talks with Real president and it is reported that he’s set to tell Florentino Perez he wants to leave to ply his trade in Italy with Inter.

Modric was a standout performer at the World Cup and helped his side progress to the final of the competition, their best ever finish. France won 4-2, but Modric came home a hero and a major star of the tournament. Where his future will be remains to be seen, however.
