Paul Pogba Gives A Hilarious Message To Zlatan Ibrahimovic After His 500th Career Goal

Paul Pogba sent former teammate Zlatan Ibrahimovic a brilliant message on Instagram after he scored his 500th goal in stunning fashion.

LA Galaxy lost 5-3 away to Toronto in a thrilling contest but the headlines were all about their Swedish talisman.

From a free-kick, the 36-year old martial arts enthusiast produced the most outrageous karate-style volley to notch his 17th goal in 22 appearances and get his side back in the game.

But more importantly the exquisite strike put his name in the history books as only the third active player to score 500 career goals – after Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi.

Pogba, who won the EFL Cup and the Europa League alongside Ibrahimovic at Manchester United, put on his Galaxy shirt and sent his fellow Mino Raiola client a hilarious message on his Instagram.

The World Cup winner attempted and failed to imitate Zlatan’s acrobatic prowess before saying, “I tell you to play football and you watch too much Jackie Chan, Jet Li and Bruce Lee.”

The former Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain striker received a standing ovation from the home supporters for his ridiculous roundhouse but when asked about their appreciation, gave a typical Zlatan response.

“It’s not the first time I’ve gotten a standing ovation from the away team,” he replied to a reporter who asked what it meant to him.

And he finished off burying Toronto with one final sentence.

“Obviously, it’s not good to lose … but I’m happy for Toronto because they’ll be remembered as my 500th victim,” Ibrahimović told The Sports Network (viaESPN).

Never change, Zlatan.
