After starring together in Quentin Tarantino’s new movieOnce Upon a Time in Hollywood, Brad Pitt and Leonardo DiCaprio seem to be close buddies.
With similarly-timed entries to the entertainment industry, it’s taken Pitt and DiCaprio decades to collaborate on the big screen – the latter playing a washed-up 1960s TV actor called Rick Dalton and the former his laid-back stunt double Cliff Booth.
So how did theInglourious Basterdsstarfind working with one of his most gifted and beloved peers?
ViaOK Magazine, Pitt reflected: “There was a great ease and it was really fun. I had a laugh with him. You’ve got the best of the best holding up that scene with you and there’s a great relief in that.”
“We have the same reference points,” he continued. “We came into the industry at the same time, we have similar experiences and we know a lot of the same people. Leonardo is really giving and generous. I hope we get to work together again.”
The gods of Hollywoodneedto make this happen.
Meanwhile, one of DiCaprio’s most striking scenes from the movie – a flashback in which he plays a Nazi-burning WWII soldier – literally saw the Oscar winner light up his co-starswith a real flamethrower on set.
Anybody else reckon he’s been listening to too much of The Prodigy?
