Referee Becomes Meme For His Priceless Facial Expressions In Shawn Porter vs Danny Garcia Fight

The WBC Welterweight championship bout between Shawn Porter vs Danny Garcia was an absolute slugfest last night but no-one enjoyed the bout more than the man closest to the action.

Referee Steve Willis had the best view in the house at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn and he looked like he loved every shot thrown.

His mannerisms and facial expressions as he sees the two 147 pounders trade shots is just utterly hilarious and has resulted in him becoming our new favourite meme.

The action in the squared circle was fast and furious, with Porter becoming the new champ thanks to a unanimous decision win.

However, Willis’ antics were what everyone was talking about on social media. He added so much to the fight purely because of the faces he was pulling when reacting to what was going on in the ring.

The best ref in the business, no question about it. He has a habit for looking very excited while calling fights, with someone posting a compilation of his previous best bits for our viewing pleasure:

Steve, you are an absolute geezer and we salute you for it.
