The Champions League Final In FIFA 19 Is Just Special

EA Sports have been able to obtain the license for the Champions League starting with FIFA 19 and it really is a game-changer.

Gameplay footage of the final being played out between Juventus and Bayern Munich and the realism is next level. For starters, we’ve got new commentators Derek Rae and Lee Dixon on commentary and the new mode has a special feel to it thanks to the all new broadcast package.

“One of the most exciting pieces that truly provides a new experience for players is the new commentary talent in Derek Rae and Lee Dixon,” executive producer Aaron McHardy said in aninterview with GOAL.

“We’re bringing in new commentators who will feature across the game for all the UEFA experiences – another piece of the puzzle that really makes that experience feel new and different and immersive.”

It’s so good that you don’t want to skip a single bit – from the players heading out in the tunnel and walking past club football’s richest prize as the ref grabs the adidas Finale ball off the stand.

Then, we have the spine-tingling Champions League anthem playing as players take in the whole atmosphere at the Wanda Metropolitano – before the teams shake hands and the line-ups come up in official UEFA branding.

It’s just like tuning in to watch the big game, only that it’s a video game that you play.

Liverpool fans will want to forget last season’s final but they’ll love European nights at Anfield on FIFA 19 thanks to the addition of the Champions League.

Once the players emerge from the tunnel, Anfield erupts in a rendition of ‘You’ll Never Walk Alone’ as the team, complete with official Champions League graphics, comes onto the screen.

For the past couple of years, EA have introduced more and more relevant fan chants for teams to give games a more realistic feel but this takes it up another gear. It’s the full shebang and we can’t wait to experience it.
