Movsar Evloev Post-Fight Interview | UFC London

Murphy was crisp to start, showcasing his quality footwork and keen countering ability over the first two rounds as he picked at the advancing Evloev, who seemed content to keep things standing in the early going. The undefeated Russian clawed back into the contest in the third and was the more effective of the two in the fourth as well, though a point deduction for a second errant kick below the belt loomed large. In the final stanza, Evloev was all over Murphy to start, connecting sharply and dragging him to the canvas repeatedly, though the Manchester man refused to wilt.

After 25 competitive minutes, the judges were called upon to determine the victor and when the scores were totalled, it was Evloev that emerged victorious, earning his 10th straight UFC win and 20th consecutive victory overall. This was a hard-fought battle between two elite talents and could very well set the stage for a showdown between the undefeated Russian and two-time champ Alexander Volkanovski.

Luke Riley Post-Fight Interview | UFC London

Aswell Jr. started well, closing the distance straight away and pressuring Riley, who warmed into the frame and started landing the more telling blows through to the horn. It was much of the same in the second and third, with “The Texas Kid” having success, but his Scouse counterpart packing more power in his shots, garnering the bigger reactions and clearly having the greater impact.

After three rounds, the judges were tasked with determining the victor and they were unanimous in how they saw things, awarding Riley a clean sweep of the scorecards for his second UFC victory and 13th consecutive win to begin his career. The prospect from Liverpool was harsh in his assessment of his efforts, but should carry his head high after navigating a tough fight in a high-visibility position in London.

Michael ‘Venom’ Page Post-Fight Interview | UFC London

All three rounds looked similar, with “MVP” seeking to counter and landing the more telling individual blows as Patterson tried to chase him down and find success of his own. He did well to thwart the takedown attempts of his fellow Brit and dictate the terms of engagement, but neither man mustered much in the way of meaningful offense, leaving everyone wanting more.

All three judges scored the fight in favor of “MVP,” who has now earned three straight wins and four of five since arriving in the UFC while splitting his time between welterweight and middleweight. He remains tremendously popular and should get another marquee assignment next time out, but it will be interesting to see if he can deliver the kind of exciting performance that carried him to stardom earlier in his career.

Iwo Baraniewiski Post-Fight Interview | UFC London

That’s now consecutive sudden finishes to start his UFC tenure and three straight wins in 90 seconds or less for Baraniewski, who moved to 8-0 overall while maintaining his 100 percent finishing rate with Saturday’s drubbing of Lane. The 27-year-old is apparently an accomplished judoka, but thus far, all he’s needed to show is that he carries that legendary Polish power.

Christian Leroy Duncan Octagon Interview | UFC London

Dolidze was aggressive in his pursuit of the takedown early, but Duncan did well to keep himself safe and force the burly Georgian to work. In space, the Gloucester man was easily the more effective of the two, landing the cleaner shots and frequently forcing Dolidze into awkward retreats. Dolidze got back to grappling in the third, taking the back and locking in a body triangle, grinding out the clock and chipping away at Duncan throughout the back half of the frame.

When the scorecards were collected and tallied, it was Duncan that came out ahead, earning 29-28 scores across the board. This was another important lesson for the ascending Brit, who continued to demonstrate improvements each time out and keep making steady progress in the 185-pound weight class.

Danny Silva Makes Statement With TKO Win | UFC London

The American did well throughout the first to counter Campbell’s grappling-heavy attack, never allowing the recent Dana White’s Contender Series grad to settle into dominant positions or garner heaps of control. Towards the end of the first, Silva began working the body and finding success on the feet, and he carried that over into the second, sparking Campbell with a thudding right that opened the door for him to chase down the finish.

Danny Silva Post-Fight Interview | UFC London

This was a tremendous showing for the underrated Silva, who pushed Kevin Vallejos to the scorecards last time out and advanced to 3-1 inside the Octagon by taking Campbell’s unbeaten record. A member of the DWCS Class of ’23, Silva is a talented 29-year-old with a ton of upside, so be sure to keep an eye on “El Puma” going forward.
