On Friday, July 3, a starry guest list of over 1,000 people bore witness to Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding.
Nearly two years after the couple made their first public appearance together—with countless nights out for dinner in New York City, Swift’s gargantuan Eras Tour, and Kansas City Chiefs games in between—they announced their engagement in August 2025. Speculation has been swirled over the last year. What designer (or designers) would Taylor choose to wear? What might a wedding at Madison Square Garden actually look like? Who was invited to the big day? Swift—known for dropping hints and Easter eggs into her outfits, videos, and performances—remained tight-lipped through it all. But as the day went on, certain details came out, and more continues to drip through.

When and where did Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding take place?
The pop star and NFL athlete tied the knot on July 3, 2026, in a wedding at New York’s Madison Square Garden arena planned by Mark Seed.
A report by TMZ last month suggested that Swift and Kelce “bailed” on their long-rumored Rhode Island ceremony “after word got out about the venue.”
Last week, it was reported by the New York Times that permits had been requested for a large-scale event at MSG in early July, which allowed for road closures in the surrounding Manhattan area from July 2 to 4. Ahead of the wedding, paparazzi photos captured a delivery of boxes labeled “Garden Party,” and workers rolling out (then removing) carpet on the entrance steps, and draping fabric hanging from the ceiling. White tents were also erected outside the venue for arrivals.
Swift is not the first person to hold a wedding at the renowned arena—Sly Stone married Kathy Silva in front of an audience of 23,000 on June 5, 1974. Swift has also performed there eight times across the last two decades.
What was the running order?
The couple held a rehearsal dinner for about 100 people at the Infosys Theater within the arena on Thursday, July 2. Lena Dunham, Selena Gomez, and Jack Antonoff were photographed heading to MSG for the event that evening.
Page Six cited sources who revealed the weekend’s full running order—and the schedule was packed. Following the rehearsal dinner, doors for guests opened on Friday at 3:30 p.m., with a cocktail hour beginning at 4 p.m. on the 6th-floor concourse. The nuptials then started at 5:30 p.m. on the MSG arena floor, with the reception following at 6:30 p.m. The end time was set for 2:00 a.m.
Stevie Nicks performed at the wedding, while there have also been reports that Paul McCartney, Ed Sheeran, as well as Swift herself sang. An unnamed source told the Times on Friday that both “Swift and Nicks had participated in a sound check inside the Garden earlier on Friday.” (It appears that Swift’s “Stevie Knicks” shirt at the NBA finals—custom-made by her friend Alana Haim—may have been one of her signature Easter eggs for fans.) Lena Dunham was also reported to have given a speech.

Who was invited?
Over 1,000 guests were expected at the Friday event. According to NBC News, guests received NDAs to sign along with their invitations. (Also, uniquely watermarked to deter leaks.) There was also a reported no-phones policy.
“I think the only stressful weddings are ones where you have a small amount [of people],” Swift said during an appearance on Graham Norton’s British talk show last fall. “And you have to evaluate or assess your relationship with them, to see if they should be there. I’m not gonna do that.” She joked that “anyone I’ve ever talked to” will be invited—and seems to have kept her word.

Jack Antonoff and Antoni Porowski deployed some deft question-dodging when asked about their attendance, while Suki Waterhouse was the only one who outright revealed that she would attend in the days before the event.
Then, on Friday, Antonoff and his sister Rachel were indeed spotted on their way to MSG. Also seen departing their myriad homes and hotels that afternoon were Gigi Hadid, Bradley Cooper, Lena Dunham, the Haim sisters, Swift’s childhood friend Abigail Anderson Berard, Ed Sheeran, Zoë Kravitz, Dakota Johnson, Julianne Moore, Ethan Hawke, Hugh Grant, Jason Sudeikis, Charlie Day, Benson Boone, Mariska Hargitay, Nikki Glaser, Jimmy Fallon, Emma Stone, Jennifer Lawrence, Ellie Goulding, Kyle and Kristin Juszczyk, Sombr, and Karlie Kloss. (Variety reported that Swift’s ex Harry Styles was also invited, but unable to join his fiancée Kravitz due to tour commitments.)
Not one to forget her roots, Swift also apparently invited country stars Brad Paisley, the Chicks, and Maren Morris, as well as her longtime collaborators Max Martin, Shellback, and Aaron Dessner. Other reported guests included Bridgerton’s Phoebe Dynevor and her fiancé, actor-producer Cameron Fuller, along with Grey’s Anatomy’s Ellen Pompeo. (One of Swift’s cats takes her name from Pompeo’s character.)
What did Taylor Swift wear to her wedding?
It’s probably right to assume that Taylor had multiple outfit changes—just like Dua Lipa did recently for her own starry, Sicily-set three-day affair—throughout the weekend. But according to a release sent out on Friday night, she wore a Dior couture gown by Jonathan Anderson for the ceremony, with Kelce also dressed in Dior. The bride finished her dress with Cartier jewelry and custom Christian Louboutin shoes.
What went down inside Madison Square Garden?
Information about the actual festivities is coming through slowly. A statement from Swift’s team has revealed that Swift and Kelce forwent a traditional wedding party, opting instead to have Swift’s brother, Austin, serve as her “man of honor” while Kelce’s brother, Jason, was best man. Adam Sandler—with whom Kelce appeared in Happy Gilmore 2 last year—was the officiant.
Speaking to a reporter the night previous, broadcaster George Stephanopoulos said that Adam Sandler was “funny and touching.” He confirmed that the couple wrote their on vows too, which were “everything you would hope for: real, vulnerable, serious, and silly.”
On the Saturday morning broadcast of Good Morning America, anchors Robin Roberts, Michael Strahan, and Stephanopoulos shared their experiences as guests on the big day.
“It was as intimate as it could possibly be, considering that it was Madison Square Garden,” said Stephanopoulos, adding that there was a “garden inside the garden that was so beautiful.”
“It’s hard to imagine that a place that big, and a wedding with such stars could feel so personal and so intimate,” he continued.
Then, after the couple said “I do,” LED screens outside of Madison Square Garden lit up with the words “JUST&T MARRIED,” while the top of the Empire State Building turned into Swift’s “something blue.”
AMC theaters CEO Adam Aaron shared his view on the day on his social media. (Before, swiftly, deleting it.)
“Immediately upon entry, everything… floors, walls, ceilings… was draped in peach and white. Large blown up pictures of Taylor and Travis at each age, year by year from one year-old to late teenager-hood, were on display,” he wrote. He offered up some more information on the internal garden where the party continued, with large trees and colorful florals.
Musician Maran Morris also shared a glimpse on Instagram at what could be either a party favor or custom table napkin :a white square that features the wedding date and location, an embroidered “T” with interlocking hearts, and the “Blank Space” lyric “So it’s going to be forever…”
