Beare Park Australia Resort 2027

If last season designer Gabriella Pereira described her foray into an angsty minimalist aesthetic as a sort of “coming of age,” this season felt like a clear maturation of that youth. This development is not without parallels in her personal life, either. The designer gave birth shortly after her Resort 2026 show, and her eight-month-old child appeared on the runway in her arms today. “The last year has been quite transformational, and I think that is always reflected in creative stuff,” Pereira said backstage after the show. “Life milestones mature you in a way that helps your personal voice—it’s much more self-possessed.”

It is not uncommon that such a large life event can make all of the world’s white noise dissipate, and perhaps that’s why the color palette remained as calm as the breezily constructed silhouettes. The brightest shade, a rich terracotta, was seen in an oversized blazer or baggy pair of split hem pants, while a bell-sleeved ultra-mod mini dress provided some welcome sheen. Still, both were a far cry from last season’s acidic green.

The pieces also took inspiration from the devotional intensity of Sinéad O’Connor’s “In This Heart,” its lyricism cementing Pereira’s newfound clarity. Many women would likely find themselves with a spring in their step in an airy chocolate silk slip dress layered over the easiest of slim cut trousers—or, in a vintage cut T-shirt paired simply with a silk floor-length skirt. To top it off, every look was completed with a pair of flip flops. How very Aussie.
