Boyd Gaming reports $1.03 billion revenue, up to 3% in Q2

Boyd Gaming announced $1.03 billion revenue for the second quarter, marking an increase of 3% year-on-year.

The company upgraded its full-year adjusted EBITDAR forecast by $5 million on the back of the positive performance in its regional casino portfolio.

The company’s adjusted EBITDAR for the quarter totaled $350.48 million, adjusted profit amounted to $144.38 million and net profit accounted for $131.2 million. Operating expenses were at $833.69 million while taxs were at $40.6 million.

Boyd’s operations in Midwest and South regions generated $556.9 million in revenue during the quarter. In Las Vegas, revenue growth was 4% and adjusted EBITDAR growth totaled 3% when compared to 2019.

Keith Smith, President and CEO of Boyd Gaming, stated that the results showcase the strength of the company’s diversified business model as well as ongoing investments and substantial customer growth. He also mentioned the progress in Boyd Interactive and earned market access agreements.

On the downside, some Vegas businesses such as The Orleans and Suncoast showed weak performance as a result of construction works and decreased visitations of tourists.

Following the quarter’s results, Boyd modestly raised its full-year adjusted EBITDAR outlook, citing continued resilience across its regional operations and steady growth from its digital business.
