Brittany Clark’s boyfriend thought she was joking in fatal alligator attack that ‘felt like it went on forever’

MIAMI – Brittany Clark’s heartbroken boyfriend revealed Friday that he initially thought she was joking when a massive alligator emerged from a Florida river and attacked her — for what felt like “forever.”

Clark’s arms were ripped off by the 13-foot beast Sunday during a hiking trip with her boyfriend Chance Allison and roommate Jayden Hernandez as they were in the Econlockhatchee River at Little Big Econ State Forest in Central Florida.

“For the first two seconds I thought ‘Is she joking?,” Allison, 30, told The Post.

“Once I realized that she wasn’t joking, I didn’t know what to do but to jump in and try to help. I tried to grab her.

“It felt like it went on forever but it was maybe 30 or 40 seconds.”

Allison desperately tried to free Clark from the gator as it sunk its jaws into the 31-year-old.

The “bad a–” bulldozer driver was rushed to hospital in an ambulance but died from the huge amount of blood she had lost.

Clark’s pal Hernandez previously revealed how the trio had joked about there being an alligator in the water before the attack when they saw bubbles.

Harrowing bodycam footage released on Thursday showed a Florida deputy’s desperate attempt to save Clark.

Clark can be seen under a tent which Allison told The Post he used to protect her from the blistering Florida sunshine.

Allison has also revealed that one of the last things Clark told him before she was taken to hospital was to look after her dog, Hokie.

The couple had taken the German Sheppard and Allison’s own pitbull mix dog, Bulma, along on the hike.

Allison has now taken in Hokie and Clark’s cat, Shady, to live with him and Bulma at his home.
