March 23 (UPI) — Supernatural alum Carrie Anne Fleming has died after being diagnosed with breast cancer. She was 51.
The actress, who also starred in iZombie, died Feb. 26 in British Columbia.
“She died peacefully with her loved ones by her side. It was a great privilege to have known Carrie. She was a beautiful soul, inspiring and, above all, kind. She will be greatly missed,” her representative told People.
Fleming portrayed Karen Singer on Supernatural. Her on-screen husband, portrayed by Jim Beaver, posted a tribute on Facebook.
“Carrie Anne Fleming was cast as my wife on Supernatural in my fifth season on the show. I fell for her hard, and I did it mere seconds after meeting her. To my joy and shock, it seems the same thing happened to her. We ‘met cute,’ in Hollywood speak,” he said. “…We ran lines of dialogue together in my trailer and talked for hours that first day, and the electricity between us was practically visible. She was a powerhouse of vitality and goodwill and amazingly good nature, with a rapturous laugh and an utterly adorable personality that didn’t seem to have an off switch. I was so in love I think my eyes turned silver. She seemed to think I was worth hanging around with, too.”
In addition to Supernatural and iZombie, Fleming starred in such shows as Viper, Masters of Horror, The Tooth Fairy, Bloodsuckers and Smallville.
