“I Was Taken Up To A Spaceship”: People Are Revealing The Wildest Things They’ve Seen With Their Own Two Eyeballs, And I’m Both Terrified And Fascinated

In a recent post, people shared the wildest things they’ve ever witnessed with their own two eyes. In response, readers wrote in with their own experiences, and these stories were just as unbelievable as you’d expect. Life is weird. Along with a few responses from Reddit, here’s what people said:

1.

“I went to my best friend’s house once shortly after she had to euthanize one of her cats. When I would go over there, this cat would greet me by rubbing against my leg. I was at the kitchen table and felt a cat rub against my leg. I looked down, and there was no cat in sight (she had three other cats). They then sold their house and became friends with the people who bought it (who also had cats). The husband felt a cat jump on the bed, and he reached his hand down to pet it, but there was no cat.”

“Almost 20 years ago, I worked for the city newspaper. I had a subscription to the paper, and one day I grabbed it to read before I went to work. I unrolled the paper and found a brand-new bundle of one-dollar bills in sequential order, with the Federal Reserve strap around it. It was 50 bucks, and I was broke. I asked everyone at the paper if this was a weird promotion, a contest, or the newspaper carrier’s money. I turned it in to the police. It turned out there was a bank robbery up the street the day before, but the serial numbers on the bills didn’t match any of the stolen money. After a six-month waiting period, I got the money back. I never did find out how it ended up in my newspaper.”

“My family lived in Germany in the mid-to-late ’90s, and we did not speak German. My dad had to go to a work thing in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, which is in the Bavarian Alps. It started snowing, and visibility was low, and he got lost. At the time, all he had was an atlas to try to get around, and he definitely didn’t have a cellphone to call for help. He pulled over and was trying to figure out what to do when a guy knocked on his window and asked if he needed help. My dad explained where he was trying to go, and this stranger told him to follow his car so he could lead him there. My dad followed him and got to the meeting place. When he tried to thank the guy, the car had completely disappeared.”

“When I was in fourth grade at our small rural school, I was on the playground with other children all around. Under the big metal slide, I saw two short beings dressed like medieval monks with their cowls down. They had large bald heads and high foreheads, with a fringe of hair along the back of the head, from ear to ear. They had bushy eyebrows and a distinct look. They were both smiling. I believe there was one man and one woman. The woman spoke to me. ‘You don’t remember us, do you?’ Panic seized me, and I ran into the school building feeling more afraid than I ever have in my whole life.”

“My ex hit a half-grown Angus calf once, going 60 miles an hour. He was driving an older car that was basically a tank when the calf came out into the road. It rolled up over the car and just walked away. The car was fine. Live on or around a farm, and you see some weird shit.”

“Years ago, we owned a West Highland white terrier. I was a stay-at-home mom, so I was around her more than the other family members. Sadly, she became old and ill and had to be put down. Needless to say, I was devastated. When she was alive, she would follow me upstairs if I went to take a nap and bump against the side of the bed, as I wouldn’t allow her on the bed. A few days after she passed, I went to take a nap and felt a bump against the side of the bed. She would also sit outside the open bedroom door while I showered. A few days after the first incident, I looked through the shower door and a white object of her size was sitting in the doorway. When I opened the shower door, there was nothing there. It stopped after those two times, and we ended up moving from that house. I have never told anyone, as I was afraid they would think I was exaggerating, but I’m not.”

“I went to the Canadian side of Niagara Falls and saw them pulling someone out who had gone over the Falls. He survived!”

“This weird dude lived across the street from us. We called him Safari Guy because that’s how he always dressed, and one day we saw him casually drop a paper bag — like the one with handles you’d get from ordering takeout — beside a tree a little ways down the street. Being the curious idiots we were, we ran outside to see what was in it. It was full of cash. As this was Philadelphia, we noped the fuck back into our apartment and pretended we never saw it.”

“This was what I thought was a dream back in the 1980s. I was taken up to a spaceship. There was a small, fur-covered being dressed in black robes and a very tall blonde guy dressed in white robes. They took me to a room where a flat type screen was scrolling through a written language that I fully understood but was entirely foreign to me. I had a conversation. I woke up the next morning remembering the whole thing. Bear in mind, this was before flat screens were out, and no one talked about these types of beings as aliens. Then, in 1989, Christopher Walken was in a sci-fi movie and the aliens looked like the ones I saw. I’ve not heard of anyone else reporting seeing this type until now. This weekend, I watched the documentary The Age of Disclosure. For anyone who doubts these types of experiences, watch the documentary.”

“In maybe 1989, a freak tornado hit our townhouse block in North Carolina. It lifted our corner spot momentarily, and ripped the roof off most of the structure. I was just a little kid, but my mom backs me up: We saw some poor man desperately clinging to his mattress, sailing at least a hundred feet in the air.”

“I live on the third floor of my sister’s Victorian house, which is over 100 years old. A lot of strange things happen in her home, but my favorites involve the children. One of the third-floor rooms had been a nursery. Sometimes we hear giggling, rustling, and light footsteps, usually late at night, although only adults live in the house. Small items may disappear from my bedroom, like a pair of earrings from my vanity. I ask them for it back, and it turns up, but in a different place — in front of my coffee maker or on the mantelpiece on the first floor, or on my sister’s bedside table on the second floor. If you don’t tell them they aren’t allowed in the bathroom anytime you’re in there, they may play pranks like strewing your clothes on the floor while you’re showering. Their pranks are sometimes annoying but harmless. Not everything in that house is. Believe me or don’t. We know.”

“Flew from Detroit to Tokyo. We chased the sun for probably eight hours while it sank in slow motion to the horizon, then slightly below it. Then, as we were getting close to Japan, the plane banked leftward, and I shit you not, the sun began RISING again from below the horizon! It did this for some time, incredibly slowly, until the plane made its final bank to queue for landing. My mind was absolutely blown, and whenever I tell the story, people look at me like I have three heads.”

“In high school, I was carrying some papers, and a friend threw a paper clip at me. The paper clip perfectly clipped onto the stack of papers.”

“During a camping trip, my parents were in the camper, and we slept under the stars, parked under the branches of a big, old tree. After we all went to sleep, at about 1:30 a.m., my dad got up and felt that they were in danger. He quickly hooked up the camper and dragged it 50 yards to an empty spot, with us boys carrying our sleeping bags. Ten minutes later, one of the huge branches cracked and dropped right where the camper was.”

“The night of my father-in-law’s funeral, I woke up suddenly and saw him standing there. Smiling. I remember feeling such peace, and I stopped worrying about whether he was okay. This was NOT a religious experience. I’m an atheist. We are all just energy, and this was the last physical manifestation of that. Shortly after my friend was murdered in 2016, my best friend and I were reminiscing at the spot where my friend died. Every time I started to cry, it would rain. When I stopped, it stopped. When I started, it started. I looked at my bestie and was like, “Are you seeing this?!?” She confirmed I wasn’t hallucinating. I was on my porch around 2 a.m., smoking and thinking of my friend. I felt a sense of peace all of a sudden, and I started hearing whistling and the sound of bicycle tires coming down the street. I just knew my friend was telling me he was still with me.”

“I had a patient who had a TERRIBLE adverse reaction to Benadryl. Terrible. We gave her 3 mg of Ativan IV, which did nothing. Then we tried physostigmine, which worked. I’d never given it before and never since. I told her, ‘You’re gonna have to tell providers from now on that you can’t have Benadryl, and nobody is going to believe you, just so you know.'”

“I saw a man riding a bicycle across a clearing. He rode behind a tree and didn’t come out the other side. Just vanished. My cousin, who was with me, also witnessed it. When we got home and told everyone what we saw, no one believed us.”

“I was a kid, like 7 or 8 years old. I went sledding. Laid face down on a plastic sled. Went downhill. A car was coming, which I didn’t see, and I went right under it and came out the other side. The car stopped. Yelled at me. I could’ve been killed.”

And lastly, “When I was in high school, my family and I were visiting LA. Hollywood, to be exact. We were just hanging out there one afternoon, and parked our car on one of the upper parking floors. We were going to take the elevator to get to the ground floor. We pushed the button to wait for the elevator, and the door opened, and I shit you not — Scarlett Johansson walked into the elevator with a friend or someone else. My mom’s reaction startled them a bit, and Scarlett looked directly at me, smiled, and laughed in this super coy way. It took me like five minutes to register that it was Scarlett Johansson, and no one else in my family recognized her. I’m positive it was her.”
