May 9 (UPI) — SEAL Team, Bones and Angel icon David Boreanaz is celebrating the official pick-up of his Rockford Files re-boot for NBC.
“Open for business…let’s go to work. #JG #GiGi,” Boreanaz captioned a photo of a business card that reads, “Jim Rockford, Private Investigator, Malibu, California.”
The original show starred the late James Garner as Jim Rockford. It ran from 1974 to 1980.
Garner’s daughter Gigi has been vocal about her support for the new version.
“I’ve said this before: They tried to reboot #TheRockfordFiles in 2010,” she wrote on X.
“Everything about it was off! The pilot was so bad it never aired. I never said a word about it.This is a completely different situation. The writing, casting, timing, producers, etc. are all extraordinary!”
