Pre-loads are now live for everyone else!
We’re still over a week away from the official release of LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight on May 22nd (with formal early access beginning on May 19th), but some very lucky Xbox owners have been playing it already!
Yesterday, someone took to the LEGO Gaming subreddit to reveal that, after pre-loading the game on their Xbox Series S, they were suddenly able to boot into it and start playing.
You can see some evidence in the screenshots down below:
Looking into this a bit further, it does seem to have happened for a few people, and it’s specifically for those who pre-ordered the digital edition via Walmart. However, over the past few hours, a patch seems to have blocked access to the game entirely, so it shouldn’t be an issue going forward.
The official preload is out for this game now though, so everyone who has bought it (or wants to download it via the Xbox mobile app) can grab the 45GB file right now. Not long to go until release, and we’ll bring you the reviews ASAP!
