There may be a few less hoop earrings to purchase from Jennifer Fisher’s Soho boutique for Mother’s Day.
We’re told Fisher, who counts stars like Jennifer Lopez, Rihanna, and Selena Gomez as clients, arrived at her West Broadway boutique Friday morning to find shattered glass, and discovered that swaths of her baubles had disappeared.
A source close to the designer told Page Six that three men had smashed the storefront window at around 12:37 a.m. Friday morning.
“The crew broke through the front entrance and moved with precision, sweeping an entire section of high-value fine jewelry before vanishing into the night,” they said.
“They blazenly blew a hole in [the window]. Animals!” they added.
Fisher confirmed the burglary when we reached out on Friday. She told us she’s OK, and said: “I’m just grateful that my team is safe.”
Fisher was cheerful in a video she sent us. “I’m still selling jewelry with my store that has been broken into. I just sold a chain to a client, on the street,” she said in the clip.
Fisher’s boutique isn’t the only luxury retailer to face movie-style heist in the wealthy neighborhood, where stars like Chris Rock and Dylan McDermott can be seen strolling the cobbled streets on any given day. In February, 21-year-old fashion model Abdallah Diaby was arrested for stealing more than $1 million worth of merchandise from the upscale 4GSeller Boutique nearby. He was among four masked men caught-on-video taking 20 St. Laurent designer jackets, 30 handbags, 20 belts and other luxe items, cops said at the time.
A police source told us no arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing. Thieves on the loose will not spook Fisher from doing business. She told us the boutique “will be open tomorrow!”
