The Dodge Charger Sixpack Gets A Real Exhaust Upgrade From MagnaFlow

The new Dodge Charger Sixpack already packs a lot of performance, but its twin-turbocharged inline-six doesn’t have quite the same visceral soundtrack as its V8-powered predecessors. For Charger buyers wanting a bit more attitude from their exhaust, MagnaFlow has a solution.

The company has introduced a new SPEQ Series Cat-Back exhaust system for the 2026 Dodge Charger with the twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter Hurricane inline-six. Priced at $3,359, the system is designed to give the Sixpack a deeper, louder exhaust note while retaining the car’s factory active exhaust functionality.

Three-Inch Stainless-Steel Pipes

MagnaFlow’s setup replaces the factory exhaust components behind the catalytic converters with 3.0-inch mandrel-bent 304 stainless-steel piping. It features a Tru-X crossover, mid-body straight-pipe sections, and two straight-through mufflers.

Out back, dual 4.5-inch black-chrome tips give the Charger a more aggressive look to go along with the added sound. MagnaFlow rates the exterior sound as “moderate” and the interior sound as “mild,” so you shouldn’t have to worry about becoming the most hated person on your block.

Maybe more importantly, the system retains the Charger’s factory active exhaust functionality. MagnaFlow’s cast-stainless performance valves are still integrated with the car’s active sound management and drive modes. In other words, owners can keep things relatively quiet when they want to and open up the exhaust when it’s time to have some fun.

MagnaFlow also used dyno testing to measure changes in exhaust flow, horsepower, torque, and throttle response. While those tests suggest some performance benefits, the company isn’t advertising specific power gains for the Charger Sixpack with this setup.

It’s Not Cheap

At $3,359, this isn’t exactly a small investment for an exhaust upgrade. But for Charger Sixpack owners who think their Hurricane-powered muscle car could use a little more character, MagnaFlow’s setup could be the perfect solution.

Sure, the Sixpack may not have a V8 under the hood, but that doesn’t mean it has to sound completely anonymous. MagnaFlow wants to make sure the Charger can at least bring some of the drama back.

Motor1’s Take: The Charger Sixpack doesn’t necessarily need to sound like a V8, but it could certainly stand to sound a little more exciting. MagnaFlow’s new system seems like a reasonable way to give the Hurricane six some extra character without making the car obnoxious all the time.
