CinemaCon was filled with major stars and big announcements, but one unexpected detail stood out: Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman both arrived in strikingly similar all-black looks.
Both stars attended the Las Vegas event on Tuesday, April 14, but for separate projects. However, their similar all-black looks quickly turned heads. Kidman, 58, arrived in a flowing black floor length dress while Cruise, 63, opted for a tailored black suit with a velvet jacket and polished black shoes.
The former couple, who were married for nearly 11 years before divorcing in 2001, did not appear publicly together at the event. No reunion photo surfaced, and there was no visible sign the two interacted while there.
Still, their shared appearance carried extra intrigue because both were promoting major upcoming films. Kidman attended alongside Sandra Bullock to spotlight the upcoming “Practical Magic” sequel, while Cruise took the stage with filmmaker Alejandro G. Iñárritu for his new dark comedy “Digger.”

Cruise drew added attention at the event when attendees were shown a first look at his dramatic transformation for “Digger.” In footage from the film, the actor appears with gray hair, visible wrinkles, and a fuller midsection as billionaire tycoon Digger Rockwell — a huge difference from his usual polished image.
“Watching Tom Cruise becoming Digger Rockwell, I was not prepared for that,” Iñárritu said during the presentation.
While Cruise himself appeared onstage looking like his usual self, the preview gave audiences an early glimpse at one of his most unexpected roles yet. You can see an outline of his silhouette in the promotional poster for the movie.
