The official website for the Hokuto no Ken: Fist of the North Star television anime revealed supporting cast, staff, the opening theme, character visual for Rei (pictured), and a second promotional video on Thursday.
The new anime adapting Buronson and Tetsuo Hara‘s action drama manga will premiere on April 11 at 1:00 a.m. on Tokyo MX and BS11. Amazon’s Prime Video platform will stream the anime worldwide.

Rock band [Alexandros] (Uma Musume: Cinderella Gray) is performing the opening theme “Hallelujah,” which is previewed in the promotional video below.
Hiroshi Maeda (Sousei no Aquarion director of photography) is directing at TMS Entertainment. Kazuhiko Inukai (Bakugan: Armored Alliance) is handling the series composition and Naoki Hisatsune (JoJo no Kimyou na Bouken Part 6: Stone Ocean animation director) is designing the characters. Yuuki Hayashi (Boku no Hero Academia) is composing the music.
Buronson and Hara serialized the manga in Weekly Shounen Jump from September 1983 to August 1998. Shueisha published the 27th and final volume in March 1989.
The original anime series by Toei Animation aired in 109 episodes from Fall 1984 to Winter 1987. The 43 episode second season of the series premiered in Spring 1987.
