Alt-pop singer Charlotte Lawrence tunes into fall style

Charlotte Lawrence

Cool runs in the family for actor-musician Charlotte Lawrence. Her dad, Bill, writes and produces TV hits such as “Ted Lasso,” “Scrubs” and “Shrinking,” while her mom, Christa Miller, stars as the opinionated but loving neighbor, Liz, on “Shrinking,” and is a music supervisor for all three. So, it’s no wonder the younger Lawrence has a proclivity toward both mediums.

The LA native will be back opposite Vince Vaughn on Season 2 of Apple TV’s crime comedy “Bad Monkey” in December — and she tells Alexa her character Caitlin’s journey is “bigger, messier and a lot more emotional.” At the moment, though, the multi-talented star is focusing on music.

After touring with Sombr in the spring (“The most fun experience of my life!”), the 26-year-old indie-pop rocker is promoting her album “Somewhere” on the road with Suki Waterhouse, playing Radio City Music Hall on Sept. 24. The “Tongue Tied” singer confides her stage wardrobe is heavily inspired by the louche glamour of Anita Pallenberg, Jane Birkin, the Rolling Stones and Kate Moss. Offstage, the pragmatist chooses comfort over fashion cred. “If I can get away with wearing pajamas in the daytime, that’s usually what I do,” says Lawrence.

Since a page full of PJs wouldn’t do, she shares her other stylish staples.
