What Happened in Vancouver
Fans outside the Pearl Vancouver venue received flyers accusing Greep of sexual assault.
The flyers read: Geordie Greep A Rapist. You know what you did this morning Oct 8th. He thinks he can do what he wants. Let Him Know What Vancouver Thinks of Rapists.
Greep took the stage about an hour after the scheduled time, performing solo without his backing band.
His On-Stage Statement
Greep said he and bandmates went to bars and ended up at a late-night house party.
He explained: ‘I got the wrong end of the stick with someone who was there, and I made a move, and it didn’t come off.’
He apologized quickly, calling it a ‘complete misunderstanding.’
Greep said he would never rape a woman and emphasized he felt deeply sorry for the incident.
Public Response and Tour Cancellations
Greep announced that all proceeds from the Vancouver show would go to an anti-violence organization in British Columbia.
He said fans could request refunds or leave the event without judgment.
Following the allegations, Greep canceled shows in Boise, Idaho, and Salt Lake City, Utah.
He also canceled concerts in Boulder and Denver, Colorado.
His final two tour dates—Des Moines, Iowa, and Omaha, Nebraska—remain uncanceled.
Greep is set to begin a European tour in the Netherlands, followed by shows in France, Spain, and Portugal.
