April 4 (UPI) — Shrinking creator Bill Lawrence is teasing a “completely new story” for Season 4 of his beloved Apple TV comedy series.
“Season finale and end of this three season story next week. Hope you dig it. (Excited to start completely new story next year. Feels scary/risky/fun) Thanks for watching. #Shrinking,” Lawrence wrote on X Saturday.
After X followers began asking for details, Lawrence replied: “You guys can read about this if you wish. We always pitched a three season story on #Shrinking grief-forgiveness-moving forward. We wanted to stay true to that and end the way we planned. (So excited to do Season 4 and a new story with the same cast.)”
The first three seasons of the show starred Jason Segel, Harrison Ford, Jessica Williams, Christa Miller, Ted McGinley and Michael Urie.
It was about a trio of therapists who helped each other and formed a found family, bringing in more friends and neighbors each season.
One fan joked Saturday, “If Harrison doesn’t come back we riot,” to which Lawrence said, “Agreed.”
The show was renewed for a fourth season in January.
