The Party

Image Credit: JR Madonna and Guy Oseary once again teamed up for one of the weekend’s most exclusive events, their annual late-night afterparty at Oseary’s home. No photography or social media is allowed at The Party, which is sponsored by Gucci, but artist JR took an artistic approach to photographing stars in his signature portrait studio; Gucci also hosted its own portrait studio with photographer Cameron McCool.
Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce, Justin and Hailey Bieber, Timothée Chalamet and Kylie Jenner, Jessie Buckley, Emma Stone, Nicole Kidman, Robert Pattinson, Austin Butler, Jeremy Allen White, Jacob Elordi, Olivia Rodrigo, Bruno Mars, Chris Rock, Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis, Kieran Culkin, Benicio Del Toro, Kim Kardashian, Dakota and Elle Fanning and Heated Rivalry‘s Connor Storrie, Hudson Williams and François Arnaud were among the A-listers who stopped by, as Gucci handed out a range of branded party favors including chips, candies, mints, and lighters, each jokingly emblazoned with “Stolen From GuyO’s House.” Guests also departed with a T-shirt featuring the Gucci Web and interlocking G print, customized with the same phrase.

Vanity Fair
Image Credit: Courtesy of Vanity Fair New year, new location, new scene, same A-list star power for Vanity Fair which moved its post-Oscars act from Beverly Hills to LACMA for a bash made over under the guidance of new global editorial director Mark Guiducci. Also new: Writing this report based on a recap provided by the magazine, which cut journalists from inside the party as a way to allow stars to “let the hair down” following a long awards season, says a well-placed source.
So here’s what we know: The evening started early with a private dinner for approximately 100 well-heeled guests before the crush of revelers arrived to pose in front of a 100-foot-long silver wall framed by a row of illuminated bronze figures on concrete plinths by Auguste Rodin from the LACMA’s permanent collection. The main party area — with scenic design provided by Basil Walter of BW Architects with creative director Martin Brûlé — was located in the outdoor “forum” area beneath the main museum galleries and facing the Japanese Pavillion.
Winners who made their way through included Michael B. Jordan, Jessie Buckley, Amy Madigan, Sentimental Value’s Joachim Trier, Ludwig Goransson, KPop Demon Hunter’s EJAE, Joong Gyu Kwak, Hee Dong Nam and Mark Sonnenblick and more. Other guests included the crew from best picture winner One Battle After Another including Regina Hall, Teyana Taylor and Chase Infiniti, Timothee Chalamet and Kylie Jenner, Rose Byrne, Heated Rivalry’s Connor Storrie, Hudson Williams and Francois Arnaud, Odessa A’zion, Will Arnett, Adrien Brody, Jane Fonda, Mia Goth, Jon Hamm, Ethan Hawke, Goldie Hawn and Kate Hudson, presenter Jimmy Kimmel, Mikey Madison, Paul Mescal, Demi Moore, Chris Rock, Zoe Saldaña, LaKeith Stanfield, Channing Tatum, Anya Taylor-Joy, Dua Lipa, Callum Turner, Kristen Wiig, Tyriq Withers, Noah Wyle, Jason Blum, Jerry Bruckheimer, Academy president Lynette Howell-Taylor, Spike Lee, Wendi Murdoch, Chloé Zhao and studio chiefs like David Zaslav, Pam Abdy, Mike De Luca, Donna Langley, Bela Bajaria, Dana Walden and Peter Cramer.
It’s worth noting that it might be the only party where the guest list features a list of names as wide-ranging as Steven Spielberg, Sam Altman, Jeff Bezos, Mick Jagger, Kim Kardashian, Dua Lipa, Alix Earle, new Disney boss Josh D’Amaro, PinkPantheress, Monica Lewinsky, Hasan Piker, James Murdoch, Olivia Rodrigo, Shaboozey and Nancy Pelosi. But don’t expect to see lots of social media snaps of the unlikely party pals: Vanity Fair discouraged social media from inside the party by distributing stickers to cover camera phones. — Chris Gardner

Elton John AIDS Foundation Academy Awards Viewing Party
Image Credit: Michael Kovac/Getty Images for Elton John AIDS Foundation For those without a ticket to the Dolby but still looking for a fun Oscar outing, Elton John once again held his annual Academy Awards Viewing Party in West Hollywood on Sunday.
The event — this year co-hosted by John’s husband David Furnish along with Neil Patrick Harris and David Burtka — is put on in support of the Elton John AIDS Foundation, and raised $10.6 million over the weekend to fund life-saving HIV prevention, treatment and care.
“Throughout the years we’ve raised a lot of money, I think $125 million since we started. Which has gone towards my wardrobe that I wear tonight,” John joked inside the room. “We have everything in our hands to stop this disease, we just have to get through governments and red tape. But you know I’ve said, I will never rest until this is finished.”
Most of those funds are raised via auction, with offerings including a pink corset worn by Dua Lipa (who alternated the night sitting next to John and her fiancé Callum Turner), a Pinball Wizard pinball machine, tickets to go to the Vanity Fair afterparty (which went for $200k) and dinner with John and David Furnish at their home in L.A. or in the U.K., accompanied by three privately performed songs. John declared, “C’mon, it’s worth half a million, you bastards” and was eventually sold for $900k.
The party also always features a performance from a breakout artist, and this year recent Grammy winner Lola Young took the stage, with the crowd singing every word to her hit “Messy.”
“Elton, David and the Foundation are all about celebrating who you really are, and that’s exactly what my music is about,” Young said. “My generation didn’t live through the height of the AIDS epidemic, but that means we have a responsibility to speak up for the millions of people still pushing to live freely, especially LGBTQ+ communities who led the way from the start. It means so much to me to be part of a night that celebrates authenticity and supports a cause that really matters.”
Zoe Saldaña, Melissa McCarthy, Keke Palmer, Tiffany Haddish, Patricia Arquette, Fran Drescher, Laverne Cox, David Geffen, Donatella Versace and Becky G were among the other stars in attendance.

Governors Ball
Image Credit: Arturo Holmes/Getty Images The first stop for most on Sunday was the Governors Ball, the Academy’s official post-Oscars party located just steps from the ceremony. Catered by Wolfgang Puck for the 32nd year, it’s a prime spot for grabbing a bite and a drink before heading out to the next spot; the celebration is also where winners get their statues engraved with their names, categories and projects.

Chanel and Charles Finch Pre-Oscar Dinner
Image Credit: Stefanie Keenan/WireImage It may have been the night before the Oscars, but that didn’t stop many of the nominees and their fellow A-listers from sacrificing their beauty sleep to celebrate with Chanel and Charles Finch.
The two teamed up for their 17th annual pre-Oscars dinner on Saturday night, inviting Nicole Kidman, Lily-Rose Depp, Kristen Stewart, Gracie Abrams, Elle Fanning, Teyana Taylor, Rose Byrne Jessie Buckley, Delroy Lindo, Ethan Hawke and many, many more for a gathering at the Polo Lounge.
The next day’s plans were of course the hot topic of conversation, as Taylor — nominated for best supporting actress for One Battle After Another — admitted she was “so nervous” for the Academy Awards and planned to be among the first people on the carpet, teasing, “I need to get there and probably grab a passionfruit margarita to knock the edge off.”
Looking back on the long awards run of the last few months, though, she noted, “I’m really just happy and proud of everybody and proud of the amount of fun I’ve had. I think sometimes people come into it and are just so busy in their head that they’re not enjoying it, and I learned the importance of enjoying it and having fun.”
KPop Demon Hunters director Maggie Kang said that their team has several party buses booked for the evening, with plans to hit Vanity Fair after the show and then onto “wherever the night takes us.” Sigourney Weaver revealed she’s presenting alongside her Mandalorian & Grogu co-star Pedro Pascal, but had to do the show rehearsal solo as he is shooting and has to fly both in and back out on Sunday.
And then of course there’s the stars opting for a more chill viewing experience at home, with Depp planning to “watch the old fashion way with my friends in front of the TV” after presenting last year. Stewart, keeping who she is rooting for close to her chest, echoed, “I’m going to watch with friends — I have some friends pretty invested, I am also personally invested in a few people’s evenings, but also I always watch. I don’t always go to the parties but the Stewart household will be viewing.”
After the carpet, the stars mingled on the patio for cocktail hour, where Wagner Moura caught up with Adrien Brody, Joachim Trier took a selfie with Mick Jagger — as Josh Safdie fanned out over the rocker from across the room — and Nicole Kidman, joined by her two daughters, chatted with Byrne and Bobby Cannavale. Jeff Bezos also made an appearance alongside wife Lauren Sánchez, while Judd Adaptow caught up with Ted Sarandos and Love Story co-stars Paul Anthony Kelly and Sarah Pidgeon kept close.
Al Pacino, Javier Bardem, Jeff Goldblum, Joel Edgerton, John Mulaney and Olivia Munn, Maya Rudolph, Meg Ryan, Sharon Stone, Stellan Skarsgård, Inga Lilleaas, Ava DuVernay, Danielle Brooks and Jon Batiste helped round out the guest list.

Philipp Plein
Image Credit: Credit: Thomas Drotar The Oscars red carpet is often referred to as “the world’s biggest runway fashion show,” but Phillip Plein, one of the world’s elite group of billionaire fashion designers (who somehow maintains a relatively low profile in the U.S.), presented his fourth annual fashion show the night before the Academy Awards. The action took place Saturday night at his Bel Air manse known as Chateau Falconview. “Manse” is actually a misnomer. His giant white columned residence at the tippy top of Bel Air’s Fontenelle Way is actually just the guest house. In the hills above, he and his family’s real home – 10 times the size – is still under construction.
Those on the scene included Carmen Electra, Don Toliver, Criss Angel, Jonathan Cheban, Nessa Barrett, Russell Simmons, Preston Pippen, Jay Reeves, Meredith Mickelson, Grant Ellis, Andreina Santos, Davina Potratz and more.
Even in flamboyant Monte Carlo, it’s hard to imagine a capsule collection of thirteen gold, silver or black beaded fringed mini’s with matching shiny above the knee boots being staged with each model arriving in a custom Rolls Royce in front of a large sequin strewn crowd seated outside the manse. They then paraded through many first floor salons to a hungry crowd for such James Bond fantasies, most of which can afford it. “He’s selling the fantasy of ‘hot chicks in hot cars’ lifestyle to the world’s richest men,” an insider noted.
Plein, muscles rippling under a svelte suit, arrived on a motorcycle to introduce the show. The many mega-sized luxury cars had quite a task: Deliver each model then do a cagey three-point turn to escape the driveway plateau where the show was staged, and barrel down a steep hill high above the Bel Air Hotel. The cars had no choice but to come as close to the seated crowds as legally possible – adding to the James Bond high stakes atmosphere. Not one glass of Cristal spilled even a drop. — Merle Ginsberg

WIF Oscar Nominees Celebration
Image Credit: Unique Nicole/Getty Images for Women In Film Dozens of Oscar-nominated ladies came together at Women in Film, Los Angeles’ annual awards celebration on Friday, taking over Wheelhouse West Hollywood which was, fittingly, a property Bette Davis once owned and used just for her parties.
Kate Hudson, Renate Reinsve, Tig Notaro, Diane Warren, Alicia Silverstone, Natasha Rothwell, Jurnee Smollett, Lisa Rinna, Dove Cameron, Auli’i Cravalho and KPop Demon Hunters director Maggie Kang — alongside many female producers and craftspeople — were all in attendance as they mixed and mingled around the villa. WIF CEO Kirsten Schaffer took a moment to acknowledge the more than 75 women nominated at this year’s ceremony, noting, “So many of us have spent a career or a lifetime, fighting for a seat at a table that was never built with us in mind. So tonight we celebrate, not because the work is done, but because we refuse to stop.”
Then came the event’s tradition of each nominated woman standing in front of the crowd to introduce herself and her nomination, with cheers for each, before the group all came together for a nominee class photo. Nominees were also given orchid petals to wear throughout the evening to denote their status.

Essence Black Women in Hollywood Awards
Image Credit: Leon Bennett/Getty Images for ESSENCE Essence hosted its signature Oscar week event on Thursday, toasting Chase Infiniti, LaTanya Richardson Jackson, Kerry Washington and the women of Sinners at the 19th annual Black Women in Hollywood Awards.
Zendaya, rocking a white look that was previously worn by both Whitney Houston and Sarah Jessica Parker (as Carrie Bradshaw), had the scene buzzing amid recent speculation that she and Tom Holland had quietly gotten married. But she was far from the only A-lister in attendance, as Michael B. Jordan, Delroy Lindo, Da’vine Joy Randolph, Danielle Brooks, Chloe and Halle Bailey, Regé-Jean Page and Aldis Hodge also made appearances at the lunch, where Infiniti was presented with a rising star recognition by her One Battle After Another co-star Teyana Taylor.
“I’ve only had two projects released so far, but on both of those sets, I had the honor of working alongside incredible Black women,” Infiniti told the room. “From the very start of my [casting,] which lasted for over six months, I was able to go through that process with the incredible Regina Hall, and she gave me her time and advice and cared for me from the start before the role of Willa was even mine. She encouraged me to find my own voice as Willa and was there for me anytime I needed her. The last six months have been filled with many firsts, but having Teyana and Regina by my side through all made it so much sweeter.” — Brande Victorian

Diane von Furstenberg Oscars Luncheon
Image Credit: Stefanie Keenan/Getty Images for DVF The fashion mogul once again opened up her Beverly Hills home for a celebration of this year’s female Oscar nominees, a tradition von Furstenberg started 13 years ago after noticing no one specifically recognized the women behind the awards season films.
Upon arrival at her stunning property, guests were met with a large sign listing all of the names and categories of this year’s recognized women, with nominees encouraged to sign the board and given a golden sticker to wear for the afternoon.
The event, co-hosted by Demi Moore, Jane Fonda, Nicole Avant Sarandos and Tracee Ellis Ross, welcomed a starry group that included Gwyneth Paltrow, Katy Perry, Quinta Brunson, Fran Drescher, Grace Van Patten, Rita Wilson, Tig Notaro, Ruth E. Carter and Paris Hilton, in addition to a number of nominees across documentary, animation, costume design, sound, production design, short film and casting. Guests mingled both inside the home and front yard before making way to an outdoor lunch on the grass, when von Furstenberg kicked off with some brief remarks.
“It’s very important that you know who everybody is because then you make new friends, and since you are all in the same industry — an industry that is not necessarily pro, pro women — I think it’s very important that the executive meets the talent meets the costume and all of that,” she told the intimate group of the event’s value. Von Furstenberg also took a moment to shout out Anita Hill as a special guest, saying “we have some very strong women here. The strongest of all is Anita,” as Hill stood up to applause. “Anita went on television, into the Senate and talked about penis. You’ve got to be brave for that.”
The designer went on to announce all of the films with female nominees, with a moment of celebration for each, as she concluded, “Here we are a big family. Enjoy the food, enjoy the company, make connection and remember to be a badass, and kind. Remember to be kind, and remember to get the habit of making a connection.”

THR and Bvlgari Celebrate the Distinguished Costume Designers and Academy Award Nominees
Image Credit: Presley Ann/The Hollywood Reporter via Getty Images The San Vicente Bungalows in Los Angeles buzzed with legendary artisans on Wednesday as The Hollywood Reporter and Bvlgari celebrated this year’s Academy Award-nominated costume designers: Ruth E. Carter (Sinners), Malgosia Turzanska (Hamnet), Kate Hawley (Frankenstein), Deborah L. Scott (Avatar: Fire and Ash) and Miyako Bellizzi (Marty Supreme).
Jacqueline West, who’s been nominated for five Oscars for her work on Quills, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, The Revenant, Dune and Killers of the Flower Moon, and 12-time Academy Award nominee Colleen Atwood, who won four Oscars for the costume designs in Chicago, Memoirs of a Geisha, Alice in Wonderland and Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, were also in attendance.
Brett Fahlgren, vp brand marketing and communications for Bvlgari, presented Atwood — who received the Costume Designers Guild Career Achievement Award in 2006 — with a new award in recognition of the honor, noting, “When we heard that Colleen’s Bvlgari award for the CDGs had been damaged and ruined during the [2025 L.A.] wildfires, we had our artisans in Rome create and re-mint a new statuette.” — Brande Victorian

Carbs Before the Carpet
Image Credit: Roger Kisby/UTA UTA and Who What Wear gathered celebrity stylists and fashion brand executives for its Carbs Before the Carpet event on Wednesday. Guests — including stylists Karla Welch, Jason Bolden, Elizabeth Saltzman and Rob Zangardi — spread out throughout the restaurant to catch up with their industry peers before the chaos of the weekend kicked in.
The intimate pre-Oscars dinner, held at Sal’s Place in West Hollywood, was started last year by UTA partner and agent Dan Constable, who leads the agency’s fashion business. “[Stylists and fashion execs] are behind so many of the amazing things we see on the red carpet. They really power the red carpet. It’s a tough job,” Constable said at this year’s dinner. “I wanted to give them a night where we can all be together.” — Nicole Fell

Dior Parfums’ Club J’adore
Image Credit: Photo credit: Linnea Stephan for Christian Dior Parfums Oscar week can be intense but Christian Dior Parfums turned up the heat on Monday night — in a good way — by letting revelers let their hair down inside Club J’adore. Taking over a residence in Beverly Hills, the house hosted a launch party to toast the new J’adore Intense and its muse, Rihanna. Though the superstar singer, business mogul and mother was not in attendance, Christian Dior Parfums chairman and CEO Véronique Courtois, Dior Perfume creation director Francis Kurkdjian, Dior Japan ambassador Yuko Araki, Dior Germany ambassador Harriet Herbig-Matten, Dior Spain ambassador Nicole Wallace, and friends of the house Lana Condor, Skai Jackson, Alexandra Shipp and Jurnee Smollett were. Helping liven up the dance floor because it was a club after all, were DJ duo Doppelganger Paris, pianist Brian Kennedy, DJ Kitty Ca$h and DJ Inferno. — Chris Gardner
