Kelly Bensimon is moving past her reality TV past. She’s now focused on a new chapter of her life.

From Feud to Reflection

More than 16 years after her famous feud with Bethenny Frankel, Bensimon has moved away from the drama that once defined her.

She recently spoke to E! News The Rundown’s Erin Lim Rhodes at the premiere of The Golden Life in New York City.

“I’m very relaxed,” she said. “I’ve been through a lot and I came out the other side.”

Life as a Mother and Wife

Bensimon is a mother to two daughters: Sea, 28, and Teddy, 26.

She shares them with her former partner, Gilles Bensimon.

“All my kids are educated, they have great jobs. I have tied a bow on that part of my life, which I’m so proud of,” she said.

Returning to Reality TV

Bensimon is returning to reality TV with The Golden Life.

She wants fans to see her in a real, unfiltered light — including her mistakes and her feisty side.

“I’m just very excited for people to see how I live and watch me make mistakes and watch me with the girls,” she said. “And sometimes they’re feisty, and sometimes they’re not. I’m cool. I’m always the same. I don’t change.”

Personal Dynamics with Costars

On the original Scary Island, Bensimon worked with Luann de Lesseps, Sonja Morgan, Dorinda Medley, and Ramona Singer.

When asked about the most dramatic relationship, she pointed to Sonja Morgan.

“Sonya and I have our moments,” she said. “And then we actually live together in the Hamptons. You have never seen a combination like this. I swear to God, it’s like old school television.”

The new season of The Golden Life brings the original cast back together.

Bensimon says she’s not revisiting old conflicts. Instead, she wants to show a grounded, present, and authentic version of herself.
